CLIENT PROPOSITION

Everyone at Oak House Wills and estate planning is committed to supporting our clients in finding the right solution to your wills and estate planning needs providing you with exceptional service.

What we do:

Step 1: Visit you in your home discuss, and gather your financial information establishing your aims, objectives and wishes for your estate and financial affairs. The more information we can gather at this stage the better the advice you will receive.  We will discuss the options available to ensure your assets and estate pass onto who you chose as opposed to the crown if you do not have a will.  Discuss your requirements in the event of becoming mentally incapacitated requiring someone to manage your financial and heath care needs, and what provisions you currently have in place.

Step 2: Produce draft copies for you to check and confirm if it/they carry out your wishes. Once you have confirmed the document is correct or make us aware of any necessary changes or amendments, we will produce a final version.  The final version is checked and verified by a solicitor and bound ready for you and your witnesses to sign.

Step 3: At the second meeting we talk you thought the documents in plain English and confirm where you and you witnesses need to sign.  Importantly we will check who is witnessing to avoid the documents being revoked.

Executors:

Provide you with a bound financial checklist to assist your executor to help deal with your affairs should you lose mental capacity or die.  This document gives your executor the right information at the right time.  It provides a breakdown of accounts, investments, pensions, direct debits, medical contact details and a host of other areas that will assist your executor.    This document is invaluable to executors or attorneys as gathering these facts would be time consuming and sometimes impossible during a difficult time.

Additional services:

Document storage, Executor cards, document retrieval, review service.
